Projectors, because they have a nice cutoff, the flicker color, and well your unique; show you worked on ur car and did something yourself instead of buying something bolting it on or having a shop install it.

I like to projectors but after all the talk from people about them not giving off enough light im thinking about just going with either clear or black JDM.

If they have resolved all the light and fogging issues projectors once had, I will jump on those. They look pimp!

Hmmm... Tough call... Depends on what you want. If you want functionality stick with your OEM they produce a much brighter and wider beam of light that illuminates the road more, but if you want show go with the projectors. Right now I have my projectors on due to a plethora of car shows coming up but in the winter when it gets darker faster I'll more than likely switch back to my cleared OEM.

I thought projectors actually gave more light than oem, the only problem was that people were buying the cheap projector headlight housing off ebay. If you got with a real retrofit, you'll get way more light than with oem any day. Someone correct me if I'm wrong because this is what I thought was true....

I love the look of the projectors but I think the OEM lights put out more light.

I drive thru major dark, wooded areas late at night. Im always waiting for a deer or something (big foot) to come running out in front of me.

If their are projectors out their that can put out more light then OEM lights I want them!

I have done major searches on projectors and have yet to find any such info. Projectors look sweet on black civics

Thats his hid retrofit.

Like I was saying, when you buy the projectors on ebay, they aren't bright enough because the projector itself isn't good quality. What infinite above was retrofit projectors into the housing he bought. AND BAMBOOM!! Super amounts of light!

For the oem housing, you have a lot of problem with clearence issue. Most of the projectors are too long to fit the headlight housing and almost fit in the engine bay. If your going to use oem housing get valeo projectors. buy them at hidplanet.com

if youre going to use oem housing get bi-xenons (TLs are preferred over anything, but are $$$$).

i am using valeo d2s clear lense projectors, but the picture above is of the valeo h7 clear lense that i had.

fresnel lense won't change the light output, just the cutoff

For looks, definately projectors but for practicality and performance OEM non projectors is the way to go Unless you have the patience and time to do a projector retrofit with HID's then projectors would definately be better! Most of the replacement projectors for 7th gens are not made to factory OEM specs which leads to fitting problems as well as brightness and aiming problems too! Even sticking aftermarket HIDs in an aftermarket housing doesnt do much good because the beam patterns are not designed very well and only make a small amount of light in comparison to OEM BMW Mercedes Audi Infinity etc projectors which light up the whole freakin block!
