Anyone wanna trade HID bulbs?
I have some pretty new D2S Osram Xenarcs 66040. They're OEM out of a new 5 Series BMW. I got them to replace one light that burnt out. I wanted to make certain the Kelvin ratings stayed equivalent. However, I wanna go up to a higher Kelvin rating. Possibly up to a 8000K. I also have my front window tinted 20% so if anyone has some input as to the visibilty at a higher Kelvin rating let me know. Right now even with 4300K (the same rating as the bulbs I'm trading) the lights almost look like halogens through the tint. At any rate, let me know I'll ship whatever method works best.

So, your windshield is tinted 20%, and you are currently using 4300k bulbs, and you say they look like halogens at night (cause of the tint).
And now... You want to go and use 8000k bulbs? C'mon man, You know the basic information on HID. I honestly think you wont even be able to see any light on the ground if you got 8000k.
I would keep what you have... or, take the tint off your windshield then, if you really want get 8000k
Theres a point were saftey if more important than looks

Actually after reseaching a little I think 6000k would be the highest I'd go. Of course I'm not going to sacrifice safety, but since I've never ran a higher Kelvin ratin I simply wanted imput as to how dramatic the loss of light is. I never said that I had trouble with the tinted window. Only that it makes it difficult to see the whiteish color giver off by the lights. I'm not stupid Impulse. I retrofitted S4 projectors into Sonars before installing these into my OEM housing. I simply wanted imput before being patronized.
