I don't have TYCs, but my projectors have cutoffs so my HID doesn't glare anyone.

what kind of projectors do u have? i have to retro fit projectors into my car and i don't feel like spending hundreds of dollars on bmw projectors etc...so i wanna do it the cheap way out and buy those aftermarket projector headlights for civics and cut out the projector and retro fit it into my car...and i don't have to change the bulbs either, if i go with bmw i'd have to buy the d2s bulbs etc

i got some chrome blue-ion projectors... i am not sure what brand it is, haha. i don't see them on sale any more, i got them a long time ago.
if you are puting projectors into your stock housing, i think you should just save up to get real hid projectors.. 'cause the light output on the aftermarket projectors aren't that good. then again, its better than stock with halogen bulbs.

i would just leave it til have enough money to get better projectors.. i don't think bmw or audi projectors are that expensive.

^that^ one includes hid bulbs and ballast... i guess you can get that and sell the hids that you are using right now.

TYC's have a cutoff but, the lense is made out of a crappy glass/plastic? (simular to a magnifying glass), The actual HID projector lenses are glass and flawless

I think reflective housing w/ H4 gives greater light output then any projector (without HID ofcourse)

yea, it does have better light output, but stock housing don't have cutoff since they are made for halogen, thus not so good for HID unless you don't care about glaring other people.

the tyc's suck. I had them on my car for a day before I returned them to the dealer. It was like having 2 flashlights sitting on my front bumper to see at night. The stock headlights put out more light.

i think his original idea from the first post was to buy TYC headlights then take out their projector lenses and put it in his OEM housing.
