Stock Headlights - Xenon Bulbs

I have a question for you guys. I am looking to change the stock bulbs for now until I buy a set of HID's next year. My only question is there are two levels for wattage. A high out put around 90-100 watts and a lower level of 50-60 watts. Our stock bulbs are the 60 watt level. What would happen if a higher wattage set was put in? Would it melt the wiring or the housing? And would it be brighter??????

Thanks for all your help.

the 100watt bulbs probably would not melt your housing or wire. i used them for year, and nothing happened. the 100watt would be slightly brighter but they dont' last as long as the 60watt one.
