My Low Beams Do Not Work....
Like 2days ago I was driving at night and I noticed that my lights were off and only my high beams worked. Today I went to Autozone and bought another pair of light bulbs and I just finished putting them on my car, and again my low beams dont wanna go on, just the high beams work. Anyone know what could be wrong? I checked the fuses, and the wires are not melted and everything else looks ok. I need my lighs so I can drive at night. I hope someone can help me out. Thanks as always.
There was a recall on the light switch. Did you have it fixed? If not take the car to the dealer and they will fix it for free.
The recall was on the switch going bad and the low beams would quit working. Pretty much all 2001's had this problem.

Ok, Well Today I Brought My Car To The Dealer, And They Said My Aftermarket Blue Bulbs Burned Out The Switch. I Don't Really Know About What Switch They Are Talking About, But They Said I Will Have To Pay $755.28 To Replace The Lenses, And Wires And Something Else, I Forgot What Else They Said. They Did Replace The Switch For Free Because Of The Recall Notice I Received. Anyway, Now They Are Saying I Have To Pay All That Money To Fix Those Things, And I Cannot Put The Lights On Until Those Are All Replaced. Should I Replace The Blue Bulbs With The Stock Ones, Or Keep The Blue Ones? Is The Dealer Right With What They Are Saying? When I Returned Home, I Put The Lights On And Everything Works Fine. Thanks A Lot Everyone.

Nothing is burned or melted, and I am using 60/55W Halogen bulbs. Everything looks fine. Nothing smells burnt, or anything. Thanks for your post pon55.

if everything works.. keep it..
id make a note of what they replaced incase it happens again.. if it does something is messed up with yer aftermarket lights so you may wanna have someone (other than the dealer) check it out..

The color of the bulbs means moose poop. For all of you, Moose poop is a huge pile of crap.
The wires do not know what colored bulbs are plugged in. They only feel the current pulled through them! So if the wattage on your bulbs is 55w low and 60w high, then nothing is changed. In essence you replaced the bulbs with oem spec bulbs, just a different color. If you put Sylvania, no name, or any other brand of bulbs besides HONDA bulbs, they would still pull 55 watts low beam.
The only way to burn out your wires is to use higher wattage bulbs, which would pull excessive current on the wires and possibly burn them.
If nothing is burned, if the lights work fine, and the bulbs are 55/60, then relax, don't worry, be happy.
The damn switch was defective, and instead of just replacing it and going on with life, they tried to get some more money. Makes me ashamed to work for Honda.
Write a letter to the district manager and ask if replacing your bulbs with stock replacements is bad for your car. Just because you did not replace your bulbs with OEM ones is not good enough to destroy your car. If that were the case, you would have to use HONDA everything.
The only thing I always use that is Honda is HONDABOND gasket material and HONDA transmission fluid. But they are better, so they are worth it.

i would go to a different honda dealer if possible, that one is just trying to rape you in teh wallet, i had AFTERMARKET headlights and BULBS, and my dealer.. one of 4... replaced the switch.. it took a whole day, but they still did it for free.. PLUS gave me a ride to work
the lights cant burn out the switch cause the lights are on a relay with the switch.. and are 2 separate circuits
