I've searched and read the threads and I need a little member help.

I want to put on '04 tails without splicing, cutting and hacking things i.e., I'm looking for the OEM look. I've gone on to the Honda parts sites and looked at schematics but I guess I'm having a hard time figuring out the PNs for the parts.

I know that I'll need the lights themselves, and the '04 wiring harness but from there I'm a little lost. Some threads talk about new sockets but which ones and what are the PNs? Bulbs I think I can figure out but I'll take some help there too. I'd like to have the complete parts so I can do the conversion without making multiple trips to the parts store.

Finally, new sealing gaskets are needed but one site listed them at $150 each but other sites had them costing only a few dollars. Huh?

I'm ready to plunk down internet cash but what are the PNs for the complete swap? Any help will be appreciated!!!

first of all, i assume you are talking about a 2dr. with that out of the way, there goes..

you can just go to a Honda Dealer and ask for a 04 Civic tail lights and they can get it or order it for you. if you dont' want to buy it there, you can just ask them for the part number... most of them should be friendly enough to tell you.
so basically you need:
1. Tail Lights for 04 Coupe
2. Wire Harness for 04 Coupe
3. Sockets (p/n 33304-s30-003)
4. Light bulbs (either 7443 or 7440)
5. gasket seal for 04 coupe tail (optional)
