Stock Tailight Help

I am trying to paint the inside of my stock tailights but i cant figure out how to ge the lens off. I cleared my headlights and i just put them in the oven and used a heat gun and they came right off but when i tried that with the tails i cracked a piece off...Ne ideas? Please help

i don't think they'll come open like the headlights do....i never tried to do it but just from looking at it yea doesnt look like it.

just paint the outside and spray a decent amount of clear over it, should turn out fine

hmmmm...well i aam not trying to tint it like most ppl i want to paint it like Fraga did, but he isnt around to tell me if he painted the outside or not....do u think it would hold up?

he pmed me and said he just painted the outside but i am afraid to do that cause he had his painted at a body shop with the real nighthawk black pearl and then clearcoated there....do u guys think spraypaint and then clearcoat would hold up?

Well i did it neway and it turned out looking good...i just hope the clearcoat holds up...the guy at the store said it will though even to washing and weather...i will have pics up as soon as i get them....

Judging by the pic...they look GOOD!! Nice job!!

Did you use a template or did you just tape that ish off and spray away? This maybe something I might look into doing. Thanks!

yea i taped it all out and then used 1 coat of a Dark gloss black, then a very very light coat of a metallic black overtop (but maybe you could use a light blue) and then about 6 clearcoats overtop of that. I found by using a thick coat last on the clearcoat makes it look glossy and good to match the car...i would only suggest doing this on a black car though...thanks guys i will have pics up soon

I remember someone who did that on a silver car also. But yours looks good!
