turn signals

hey guys, i just recently cleared my headlights on my 2003 civic, and i threw in some sylvania cool blue's (which are nice), but now i have my factory turn signals still giving out that yellowish light. what should i get to make my turn signals and that other light give out a white or amber color when lit?

I found these chrome coated 7440 (single filament) Amber bulbs on e-bay. With the single filament they only light up when the turn single is flashing, not with the parking lights. Here are some pics. Hope this helps.

to get to the turn signal bulbs did you have to take off the front bumper to get the headlight assembly to come off? I know of the 2 bolts on top but couldn't find (and didn't really look) for something underneath.

Thanks,
Mike

No. In your owners manual it tells you. Remove just enough of plastic take surrounds your wheelwell. Than from there you can reach the turn and parking bulbs. Does that help.

Thank you,

As this is my wifes car i don't f*ck with it much. I spend most my time on my Tacoma or 4Runner. I appreciate your help and so does my wife. I just didn't want to do a bunch of work to realize that I didn't need to do that much.

BTW
The owners manual are you talking about the Factory Service Manual or the cheesy little book they give you with the car when you buy it.

I figured the book that came with the car was pretty worthless but for mundane tasks like changing a fricken light bulb maybe it is handy.

Once again man thanks,
Mike

In the wheel well there is one screw, if you take it out you can pull your bumper a little ways from your car and just have enough room to squeese your hand to you headlight asembly and take it out from there, it just takes some feeling aound, I can never see what I am doing

oh yeah, and see if the same company you already bought makes 7440 bulbs (single filament) cause they look better when matched and when they are not always on
