Ok so, I was until recently using those $15 blue xenon headlights, now I'm back to stock because the blue ones..exploded..
I was driving home at 8 pm, luckily i was really close to home, and both of my headlights flickered, then popped at the same time. Now is this an issue with the plugs or something? Could there have been a power surge? I'm having no problems with the stock ones but it was a real pain having to open my headlights again and take out all the blue glass, which conveniently scratched the chrome up..
could the lights have been defective?

wouldn't that have made the wiring melt also? causing any bulb to malfunction/not work properly. also, there's a recall on the civic headlight wiring harness. check out the thread for that (might be in this forum) and see if your VIN is matched with teh ones listed.

no, i wore a latex glove on my right hand when i installed them anyway, they weren't scratched, they were just standard H-4 100/90 watt lights i bought from best buy.

Have you received your recall yet for the headlight switch. This has been a big problem with these cars. Not that it would make the bulbs explode, but definetly make them fry out.
