projectors are basically just a type of headlight style. use a normal headlight bulb and are same, if not less, brightness than stock.

HID are "high intensity discharge" lights. they are really bright and really good, also expensive.

OK - so if projectors are same or less bright, why would you want to put a set in?

Because they look cool. LOL, actually from what Ive been told if you are able to adjust the projectors to the right spot they are better than stock, but most people dont adjust them i dont think.

I have projectors on my car and the lighting is probably just a little bit less than stock. However, they sure as hell look 100x better than them . I have yet to have them adjusted perfectly. I probably have adjusted them about 4-5 times and havnt gotten it right yet. Its a pain adjusting . Oh well, trial an error.

Most of the time, your HID bulbs reside in projectors. These lights were Sonar projectors (similar to TYC) I retrofitted Audi S4 HID's into them. You can't get lights like this from just plain projectors and halogen bulbs. Check out www.hidtech.com they do many a retro fit. Or simply ask myself or Impulse. We've both done retrofits.
