Finished S4 HID Conversion PICS
OK I've had these done for about 3 months but I've been too lazy to post these pics. Now everybody will hopefully quit yellin' at me. Oh well. The projectors are out of an Audi S4 and I retrofitted them into Sonar projectors. I removed the LED from the low beam and transplanted it to the high beam with 2 new T1 LED's. Yeah one of my blinker lights is out. I'm working on it. Well, enjoy. Dallis
Hmm, maybe you want to get two more angel eye rings and put them back around the projector, I dont even think you would need to hook leds up, its just it looks kinda wierd without anything around the projectors...Any plans for a diy on this??
Oh and if you paint inside, are you talking about the plastic, because that might be interesting...

It was so easy I'm sure I won't end up doing a DIY. Well that and because I didn't take any picture when I took them apart. The Audi projectors fit almost perfectly onto the Sonar projector brackets. Just a few extra threaded rods and it worked perfectly. It's the wiring that is the pain. The HID ballasts need more power to start than conventional lights and need to be hard wired to the battery with a relay. Once the lights turn on the relay flips and they run off of the stock wiring as they use LESS power once started than conventional halogens. And yes I will be painting the plastic. I'm most likely going to bondo some of the surfaces inside to make the housing look more custom. I was considering airbrushing flames on them when its ready.
How bout a wiring DIY, cause I think I have sonar projectors and I figured it couldnt be that difficult, I plan on getting bi-xenon though, because flipping between high and low leaves a few second period of darkness. So, if I could get a somewhat rudimentary DIY on how to wire everything I think I'll be ok. BTW, painting black might look cool (better than plain plastic) but I'd have to see, and flames would ruin the look IMO.
Thanks.
Thanks.

1st question: I traded a PPI PCX-2400 Amp and the guy gave me $160.
2nd question: DIY on wiring can be found all over the internet and there is no period of darkness. You run a transistor through the high beam wire back into the low beam. Power can only move one way, so when the lows are on it won't allow power to the highs, but when the highs are on it flows power to the lows as well.
