Re: Help Solve Mystery! Extra bolts from Head Gasket & Timing Belt

Reviving the mystery thread here. Still trying to find the location for that nipple / cap in this picture:

I think I found the part on majestic hondas part diagram here:

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...NIFOLD+%281%29

See part #19 part # is 90634-PLC-000 and it is called a sealing cap, and I read my label wrong, it appears to go on or below or near the throttle body. Have things torn apart (throttle body out again) but still can't see where this darn thing goes. I think it is important as my engine rpm is bouncing back up after lifting off the throttle, and I think this may have something to do with it.

Any help?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

and it is called a sealing cap
Vacuum nipple, same thing. To plug off a nipple (vacuum port) where a vacuum line would go if it were equipped.

I still have no idea why you would have found it with the alternator.

Looks like #19 should cap off a nipple on the manifold that would be just forward of or hidden by the throttle cable bracket.

Vacuum leak checks?
Idle relearn?

Found where it goes! Here is a pick. It is on the side of the manifold where a hose connects in the side. Fixed the crazy issue I was having with the throttle rebounding back up to 1800 rpms after letting off the throttle. It was a sort of throttle bounce back. Anyway, put this cap / seal on and no more issues!
