Rep Power: 0 Valve tapping noise?
I've got an 01 EX sedan w/99K, and it seems lately I've been hearing alot of valve tapping noise or at least i think thats what it is, I roll on the gas and i can hear alot of clicking noise the more i accelerate thru the rpms, plus i've been hearing some noise coming from the motor somewhere which is a fairly loud metal pinging noise like one piece of aluminum shaking just enough to hit another piece to make some noise, maybe it bc of the cold weather, maybe its something loose, but all of this noise is annoying. Anyone recommend anything for the valve tapping(or at least thats what i think its coming from)?

Rep Power: 399 various guesses as to what it is. I'd start with getting a valve adjustment done, just to be sure they haven't gotten out of tolerance loose.

Rep Power: 281 if you are capable of pulling your valve cover off and following directions to the T then you can do for very little cost and maybe 2 hours of your time.
I think someone had theres done at a dealership for around $100?
