technically its obd 2b... but now its just called obd2...thats the revised odb system.. when the 2001 integras came out the system was regular obd.. but then they revised the system sometime during production and came out with obd2b... so then in return the first system is now referred to obd2a....

i think the 97-2000 and some 2001 cars where obd2a and from then on its obd2b... but now everyone just still refers it to as obd2

this is your code

P1162 Air/Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor (Sensor 1) Slow Response

basically either somewhere a wir3e got cut or burnt OR your sensor went bad..

first thing to do is check your primary o2 sensor all the way into the wire harness to see if any wires got cut or anythin glike that... if everythings fine then that means your sensor is bad

that does not always mean your sensor is bad, I wish people would stop telling that to other people. You may have a wiring problem that is not visible by the sensor, or may have a problem with the PCM (Highly unlikely, but possible). Yes the sensor could be the problem, but it shouldnt be automatically assumed and replaced. Diagnosing should always be the first thing.

lol.. thats why i said to check your wires first in case it got burnt or cut somewhere.. ... anyways like with everything else on your car always check the obvious before replacing a part..

probably directly through Apexi. But check the forced Induction forum or other parts and products forum, you will get more help there. Or use the search button and see what pops up.

Reason being is because some of the codes in the first list differ from the service manaul, so look at both lists because they might be different. If you have any questions about your code, please feel free to PM or Email me, I have the service manaul and can verify the code for you.

I am also going to sticky this again and move it back to the vehicle issues forum so people with check engine light issues can view it.

Also, try googling first. It was the first hit that came up on google when I searched for your problem.

i use a scanguage to moniter fuel consumption and let me tell you when your going around 60 km (35 miles) per hour with the engine off 0L/100km (~mpg) is sure sexy rather than the 3L/100km (78mpg) when your in N.... and that number gets worse (3-78, 5-47, 7-33 L-mpg) as you slow down to a red light...

As well the battery voltage detail is awesome too, as well as the litres per hour, and litres used data. Awesome if you care about fuel consumption as much as I do, plus it can scan codes too and give more details than you can throw at it. As well there are gallons and miles for the Americans, great tool although pricey but I'll be driving for a long long time so it'll pay itself back one day...
