lookin for 400whp on b16a

lookin to make 400whp on a b16a.made 311whp on a b16a ,but had detonation on 1 and 4 piston when i lifted the head to change lifter on valve head.
I now what to make 400whp on a b16a.My setup is stand alone computer, dis 4, 4 msd blaster coil,550cc injectors with stock fuel rail, holley 200lb/hr in tank pump, ballbearing precision turbo T3/T4 supporting 450-500 hp, aqua mist water injection sytem, usig b18c cams on a b16a head and 9 to 1 compression cp pistons, cometic 40 tou head gasket. The problem i havin is that on the detonation i noticed that all the laden ring broke on the exhaust side. is this due to post ignition on the exhaust stroke or not enough ignition.i am using 93 octane gas. With this set up, iam i capable of makin 400whp on a b16A and at what sort of boost.

You might need to upgrade your injectors. How much boost were you at to make 311whp? Alot of times detonation is caused by a lean condition. How much timing retard are you pulling? In addition what EMS are you running. Here's one of my favorite videos of a sweet turbo setup.

Re: lookin for 400whp on b16a

I am actually in the process of building my buddies civic.......b16a2 no cams, built bottom end,JG intake manifold, walbro fuel pump, stock drag turbo kit, and 550cc injectors with fuel rail.......we made 290whp @10 psi and 330whp @ 17psi......tuned on Chrome.

We now are in the process of putting 770cc injectors in, new equal length manifold(not sure yet), new turbo turbonetics 60 trim, lsd and clutch..........

I can't wait..I'll take pictures as soon as I get my camera...

Here's a vid I out of it on streetfire....13.3 @ 10 psi against an evo (still not traction with Mickey E/Ts's) My girlfriend is annoucing the race...Here's the link

P.S. Incase your wondering that is a full ITR suspension & wheels

Re: lookin for 400whp on b16a

For the power you are striving for I'd just do like all the other turbo guys do and get a Walbro 255lph with a fuel pressure regulator and upgraded fuel rail and that should be sufficient for whatever power goals you desire.
