MP3 Stump

Ok here's a question I get some humming in my stereo, only when I play a cd with MP3's. It doesn't do it when I play regular CD's. If it matters i have a pioneer 7400 Headunit.

It maybe the encoding of the MP3s. Do you download them, what bitrate? if you encode them yourself, try encode at a higher rate. I like to encode at 320 kbps VBR

Its due to the encoding, and ripping. Whoever ripped it didnt do a good job. I can tell cuz I have some of those kind of MP3's that sound like crap on the car stereo.

try ripping some cds yourself and converting them to MP3s to test. if you still get the humming, them its a speaker/head unit thing.make sure that when you rip them, they are in the best quality.
i use easy cd-da extractor. if you want, i can email it to you.

I know that I have used multiple bit rates nothing less than 128. The song may sound like crap, there is a humm. The song sounds good and still a humm. I will try to rip my own cd, and see if there is a difference. If not awe hell. Thanks for the input

make sure that after burning, you close the session. the option for that should be when you're first config. to burn. cds that are not closed will not be read.

This happened to me with the first cd's i made, or it sounds like it. If you are not using Nero get it. I was using that pathetic ROXIO crap and it did have the options to make an MP3 Cd (or at least I am to lazy to see if it did). Used Nero haven't had a problem with making the CD's

definately use nero! no other burning program can compare.
also, did you set it so that it DOES NOT allow multi-session? that may help.
burn speed does not matter. i usually burn at 40x for cd-r and 12x for cd-rw.
and both work fine in my car.
