Amps, wires, and caps oh my! Help me!
okay so far I have Focal Utopia's 165W components with 2 Image Dynamics 12in IDQ12V.2 D2. What kind of amp should I get for the subs? I have a tubedriver for the components already. Also what else would I need to complete the install, like wires, fuses, caps. Can you mention some quality companies who makes those products. I haven't picked up a head unit yet, I want either a Alpine or Eclipse somewhere around 400-500 which model would you guys recommend.
Well for starters you're gonna need a/some:
power wire, rca cables, speaker wire, and possibly some female/male disconnects. For fuses/wires etc.... you should be able to pick them up just about any hardware store or you local car audio store. Phoenix gold makes alot of those accessories that you will need and I have found them to work fairly well. As for the amp, I think the JBL 600.1 would be a good amp for those speakers. They hold something like 350watts rms? The 600 should do them well. Or you could go with something a little bigger and gain a little headroom.

Congrats on the subs! I thought I was the only one here with them, this my name hehe... well you will be very happy with them, I had mine hooked up to a US amps usa 150 and they pounded hard, hit well into the 140's in a ported box. I recently upgraded my amp to an audiobah amp and they pounded even harder, until something malfunctioned (see my other post!) well good luck with the install, IDQ's rule!
