Re: New System

This is kinda off topic, but... has anyone personally used dynomat? I've heard the testimonials and stuff, but is it really worth shellin' out the money? And will it stop my trunk rattle if i'm bumpin' 2 12's?

Re: New System

oo ok well ive hear capisitors can kill your charging system cuz alt basically working for 2 batteries but idk ill look into it

and as for the dynomat i guess it depends on if u locate the noise of the rattle n all tht..like for me if i did the trunk it would reduce a bunch of exterior vibrations but what i noticed is my rear decklid was going hella crazy so i just shoved some old rags between it and the window but trunk rattles still cuz cant afford dynamat but isnt there a thread on here on tht?

got it

Re: New System

You could always get 2 type rs and the 1000/1 alpine amp. Haha, that would sounds amazing and hit so damn hard.

Re: New System

IMO definitely get a capacitor if you are going to push 2 12"s. My lights were dimming until I got one. As for putting extra stress on an alternator, I had mine for about 3 years and my alternator and battery are running fine.

Re: New System

No it will not. I would probably get a 2 farad capacitor if you are running 2 type r's. I have a one farad for a 600 rms amp and it runs perfectly fine, no dimming. 2 farad should be able to hangle 1000 rms fairly well. You will want a better battery then stock if your running a 1000 rms. Also upgraded grounds, possibly a grounding kit.

Re: New System

lol shoulda gotten stronger glass lol

but yea i read online its .5 farafs per 500watts rms so im guessing idk ill get like a 2 farad capaitor just to have enough room for when i improve.

i deff wanna put in a grounding kit with 1/0 gauge wire asap and i need a battery only question is Duralast GOLD or optima yellow top? does the duralast have the deepcycle like the optima? or is there no diff? cuz duralast has more CCA but i dont want it to die out like my oem battery did

Re: New System

i have 3 10" subs in my trunk, two of which are alpine type-r's. the sound QUALITY blows pioneers out of the water, as well as kicker. those are both loudness subs. if your going for a tight bass, then id reccommend a single 10" in a small, sealed box.
fyi your also supposed to change your box any time you change your subs.
as for good sq subs, you should go with boston acoustics, alpine, or polk or jl
but if you cant power the subs right then dont get them at all.
your amp should supply at least 80% of the subs rated rms power
