Headlights flashing

Hi i wonder iff someone could help me i have a strange issue with my honda civic 1996 model. I have noticed for about the last year or so that the driverside footwell when it rains is becoming soaking wet.i have checked all seals etc and all seems fine but about a month ago i was about to goto bed when i looked out of the window to notice the car lights flashing intermitently on their own,i panicked and cautiously went outside thinking someone was maybe trying to steal/hotwire the car only to discover noone their and the lights just flashing i couldnt stop them so i had tto disconect the battery.I kept doing this every night for a few weeks then one day the drivers side main lights stoped working altogether. On examining the plug conector on the back of the light i discovered the top contact to be totally melted.Today i bought a connector kit and resolved the light issue but i am sure this problem will return as winter draws nearer any help with this would be much welcomed and thanks in advance.

Re: Headlights flashing

do you have a moonroof? sometimes the drain hole becomes disconnected and can leak water into the car instead of outside the car.

Re: Headlights flashing

its down where the hood release cable is, on the left of the brake pedal somewhere. there are four tubes that go to each front door out the fender and in the trunk one on each side. sometimes the rubber boot falls off and the tube does not drain properly out of the car.
