i have a stock d16y8 and it has a severe coolant loss i add coolant i can let it sit for ever and it will stay at normal temperature and wont lose coolant but when i drive it and hits around 3k rpm it will shoot coolant i changed the thermostat and radiator is 1 year old when under hard acceleration i see that water shoots from the radiator fill place i replaced cap also and no luck, i feel like theres a clog some where or something i pulled the radiator out put a hose in it and water flowed great so i dout its the radiator

Re: 00 ex civix d16y8

Your description is rather lacking in detail.
If it shoots out at the "fill place" then it should be easy to figure out why.

Does it come out where the radiator cap screws on?
Is the cap actually on correctly and fully seated?
Is the cap missing?

Does it come out of the nipple where the reservoir hose attaches?
Is the hose not attached and/or reservoir missing?

Has the engine been overheated since the radiator replacement?
Is the lower sealing surface burned out of the radiator neck from steam erosion, so the radiator cap will never seal pressure?

===========

Why would the system suddenly gain a bunch of pressure at 3000 and shoot coolant out?

So I messed around with it today and yes the cap does not seal pressure I put rtv gasket maker on the cap and drove it and no over heating anymore and coolant stays in the radiator now

My goals probably aren't the same as yours.
