Re: Map/maf sensor

There is no MAF sensor in the 7th gen. If you installed an SRI, you shouldn't have had to touch the MAP sensor, since it's attached to the intake manifold.

If you did, in fact, unplug the map sensor and forget it, plug it back in, clear the code, and see if it comes back

yes it would be a problem.....all sensors are there for specific reasons

plug it back in....if you need to drill a hole in your new intake to mount the sensor then do it

Re: Map/maf sensor

It is important, but not drastically necessary...I just left mine plugged in and zip tied to a bracket until I finally took the intake apart and made a hole for it.

the light is on because you had the sensor unplugged....

disconnect your battery for 10 mins.....reconnect and start engine.....the light should be off

You just replied to a 7+ year old thread on a Civic forum with a question about your Accord....

To answer your question, no it doesn't have a MAF, just a MAP.
