New to the Honda community and Honda in general, also new to the forum. If this is posted in the wrong place my apology to the mods in advance. My question is, where is the trans filter on a 2012 Civic LX coupe and should it be changed at every drain and refill ? The owners manual doesn't give much info or guidance.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Somewhat handy pic of an R18 engine and trans out of a 06-09 car, 12 is similar:
You can see the trans filter (round can below throttle body) on the back of the trans

Thanks guys for the info. No wonder I couldn't see it there under the throttle body. I was under the impression that the 2012 automatics were not cvt. Mine has pretty firm shifts. The cvt's I have driven were all real slush boxes and the only way I could detect a shift was by watching the tach. Please correct me if I am wrong.
