I'm curious what you all use your storage bins for. Since they are uncovered, I am hesitant to put anything there permanently and they are kinda oddly shaped. My old Accord had covers for some of these, I wish the civic had them too.
The specific five that I'm curious about are:
Far left of the dashboard:
1. The coin bin (?). I call it that because it looks like it's purpose, but leaving coins out in plain sight is an invitation for a smashed window and the coins would never survive a NYC parking garage.
2. The little box above that.
Front of the console:
3. The slanted area to the right of the 12V and MPS plugs
4. The bigger box in front of the tranny lever
5. The little scooped out area between the tranny lever and and the sliding cover for the cup holders (Now THAT has a cover but you don't want to leave anything there because you'll need the cup holders often
No big deal, but it is a nitpick on this model and I'm curious how others use them

Sunglass cases in the 1 in front of shifter, they are black and blend in well. Garage door opener is currently velcro affixed in the the small 1 in front of the cup holders. I have some change in the lower left side opening (but I miss having an ashtray to keep my car wash quarters in though)
Love the wide & large armrest & center console with the sliding armrest/cover, very cool.

My phone bounces back and forth between the little spot by the cup holder (#5) and the cigarette holder on the left of the steering wheel(#2).
When I'm charging my Zune, it occupies the spot by the cup holder (#5).
When not charging the Zune it goes in front of the shifter (#4). Since the USB only charges the Zune, have to use the Aux in. (Great work Microsoft).
Sunglasses in spot next to the 12v (#3).
Apparently I don't use #1.

Interesting ??? The tray above I have an all purpose towel rolled up to wipe dust off of the dash etc, that hides my Monster Cable that I use for my mini jack. The bottom one closest to the shifter... BTW that has a plastic pull cover on the Japanese version of the Civic ( go figure such low crime in Japan ) I use to throw receipts and other things I want to notice to bring into the house after a trip.
