Something came off as I was driving.

Hey guys. Like the title saids, something came off and skid the floor as I was driving my honda civic 2015 lx sedan. I'm not sure what the part is. I'm also curious would it be possible to just bolt it back on or would I have to replace the whole thing. Here's some pics. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thxs. The only thing I've done on this car so far is change spark plugs and engine/air filter. I believe I could change this myself if I knew the parts and what not. Just need some advice.

It's a wide plastic part that covers the front of the car.

Just a plastic under cover. Looks like it took some damage up front. You might be able to get some new clips or use zip ties to get it back up without replacing. You'd have to get it lifted up and see how bad it is.

ya I took a bad hit before in which my raditor had to be changed. This was fine then, but now it's busted. I'll try to lift it up and see. It'd probably cost me 200 plus to change at the dealer, which is a ripe off.

I believe this is the part here: https://www.amazon.ca/Engine-Splash-Shield-HO1228136-74111TR3A00/dp/B08D8N9DDB/ref=asc_df_B08D8N9DDB/?tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=706737953463&hvpos=&hvnetw= g&hvrand=13127039080949190236&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqm t=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1002368&hv targid=pla-1732482661848&psc=1&mcid=df33df55772c3482b91309b1b 6d667cd&gad_source=1

Why? I Just got it lifted up and it seems like it could still be bolted back on. Don't these protect the under of the car?

They're more for aerodynamics than for protection. It is just a piece of plastic after all.

All they do is provide a slight fuel economy increase
