Looking for intake help

Just installed our sons first mod. A DC sports cold air intake . My question... now that I removed the old air box , there is a “milkshake” straw size tube in the area of the transmission dipstick . This Open tube must have had the Air box on it as I found a small hole in the air box I believe was for this. Now that the box is gone, what is this tube and do I need to cover it? Thanks for any

help in advance !

Re: Looking for intake help

That's the vent tube for the trans, there's supposed to be a little cap on it. Go to the dealer

Re: Looking for intake help

He just started his 4hr drive back to college and will not return until Friday and no Honda dealers close to us. I will have to order. Will it be ok to drive until Friday without the cap? Thank you for the response!

Re: Looking for intake help

Try to avoid puddles and dirt/dusty roads.
should probably check condition of the trans fluid to see if it needs to be changed

They could order it in, but I’d be surprised if they had one in stock.

Re: Looking for intake help

Thanks! I will tell him to limit his driving until Friday and pick one up at a dealership about an hr from me. When returns for college Friday, I will snap it in! Hopefully no problems happen while it isn’t covered😬
