Tek do you take out your CAI in the winter??? You see this is my predicament, right now I can't afford to buy a beater for the winter, so I'll be driving the civic... and I don't want any mods I have get ruined by salt and stuff.. Don't get me wrong though, I keep my car as clean as possible in the winter to keep the snow off of her, but the engine compartment doesn't get touched in the cold. and the undercoating/engine bay spray makes a mess of everything... damnit I wish I didn't have to worry about snow .

I can field this one. I've had my CAI through the winter and it looks fine. If you're really paranoid you can get the water bypass valve but really I don't forsee a problem. The filter will only really take in water if it's submerged while the car is running and that is difficult to do. Ultimately your call but I think you'll be fine.
