Touch Up**56k non ready**
 

repainted the engine cover and fuse box cover...im doing a photoshoot this weekend ill post em here.. i used anodizeit by pasty-kote. i sand blasted the old paint off and used my cars touch up paint for the white lettering after i threw some clear coat....getting ready for HIN april 30th

paint is good till 500deg its been 2 years since i last painted it
tomorrow in going to work and mask the spark plug coils to blast them and repaint

I am thinking of doing the same thing. But it should be able to handle like 1200 degrees. Im not too sure how much my car heats up when boosting. So I need something a little more high temp.

i say get the cf engine cover keep it the way ur going..green and black and clean

looks tight! ill be sure to snap a pic of it on the 30th (just bought my tix last night wOOO!) i like the way it ties the engine bay into the rest of your car and offsets the black that is normally everywhere in theire, too bad my car is black and i cant really do much, if my car was still that sandy tan color i think that would look sick if i did the engine bay stuff in that color. anywasy props.

true but i dont wanna do too much..... i have a big problem with my header...the coating is pealing right off.. so i really have to take care of that its giving me a headache...

ooooh im not diggin her tails, im pretty sure ive seen her b4 when i was at my audio guys shop a pink integra pulled up and the guy goes "hey check this chicks car out" then she opend the door out and up, looked sick but that wasnt too recent so im not sure 100 percent sure its her.

where i work we ahve a lot of these.http://www.trinco.com/leftframe1.htm. diffrent sizes.. one is so big i can probably do a cars hood. but we dont deal with cars where i work. I work in an aerospace company fixing the hot section of the arplains engine... well anyway i took my parts to work the other night and blasted then on the machine. it strips everything out saving u time compared to sanding and scuffing. i used the 200 grit machine it left it nice and smooth. and its good to do this i did it to my door pannels when i painted my interor and the paint is sticking for its life. i repanted the engine cover after i blasted it and the paint stuck good with no fisheye...after everything dryed up i used my cars touch up paint to do the lettering..u gotta have a steady hand for that.

honestly dont remember but it didnt have a cf hood so i guess its possible it wasnt her although i doubt pink teg's wit lambo doors are popular. (this was like a year ago)

You ratteled this?? If so dam good job. You masked the white of very well......shit now you are giving me an idea to do same color as body. What type of paint did you use....brand if you could.

Great job, looks fantastic. Im gonna have to re-do mine again, I used a gloss red high heat the first time, but with the AEM anodized intake it doesnt look right, the gloss red looks more like that Chevy red/orange engine color :hithead:


:_doh: R u paying attention at all, he didnt masking tape around the letters he used a touch-up brush from Honda and did it by hand. Just read the post from the beginning and you would realize that you didnt have to ask these questions, they're already answered :_doh:

No need to jump on me for a reply. Besides he could have taped it and brushed. I did not ask a question it was a statement. Any It still looks good but my posting after working my ass off I guess is now done!!

well as many of u know my header stared pealing as soon as i turned the car on.. obx ceramic coated header... well i took scotch bright ans scuffed the living shit out the header all the way to the metal... after i cleaned it up, sprayed the 1500deg high heat paint, turned the car on let it heat up for 5 min, turned off the car, wipped the header, re-sprayed and repeated the same thing over 3 times.... hopefully it will stick and stay on good @ least for 6 months... but i think it came out good.. check it out

That looks so pro P.... :_beer: ..the polished lip on my rims are all peeling like that so I'm busy sanding them and to a shine myself......you gota hate paying for stuff that just falls apart.... :_doh:

the paint on the header is holding on pretty good its till looks the same way after hours of driving. im gonna do one last spray b4 i head to HIN on the 29th of this month

Hey how the hell do you keep the rest of your engine so damn clean?!?!?!?!? It looks brand new under there! Great Job but let us in on your secret,

my secret is........................ i prayed the engine with a carwash preassure hose with engine degreaser to get the dirt off.. then i spray armorall all over the hoses...let it sit for a while...whipe all hoses with rag or towel...thats basically it :shrug:

do you cover anything in your engine bay b4 u spray it?

the intake filter and the 2 small breathers on the intake and the engine

^^^ yea thats what i do every week, My shat is clean, my friends hate it cus they are to lazy to do the same hahaha.
