So the only way to get your redline is to use a stand alone Engine Management system such as the AEM EMS. However, you can't do that, as you have now converted your D17 to a distributor system, which means the mappings for your engine will not work on the car as all D17 mappings would have coil-on ignition mappings programmed. And you can't use any other ODBII distributor engine mappings, because none will match the D17's engine. so do tell us how you're going to magically up your redline to 10,000rpm. Also since you claim to have converted to a distributor system, what is your ignition timing? How many degrees? Hey make sure to buy the larger Vtec selenoid from honda ..!!! It engages the Vtec quicker and really makes a difference |
