RAAM mat discount for 7thgen civic members untill march 31st

2k2civic got the deal $79 a for a 62.5sq.ft roll of RAAM60 (outperforms Dynamat extreme)...Easier to work with. Here's a Hint Dynamat extreme is $204.99 for a mere 36sq.ft. This is as good a deal as it gets. 1 roll can do both your doors and Under your hood. This will reduce road Noise Drastically. For you sound guys like me. 3 rolls will do your whole car with multiple layers in some places.... I have another product in my can and 165sq.ft has my car running quieter than my uncles Lexus ES300. .. email him at raam@raamaudio.com

Cheers

This is a pretty good deal. I got 100sq.ft. for $65 of this Pergo SilentStep stuff from Home Depot, but I barely started the roll since you have to spray on your own adhesive. The RAAM60 has it's own adhesive backing. I would get this stuff if I didn't have a roll of the stuff I got lying around.

Amphiprion 03-11-2002 04:54 PM

I'm in!!!

Daniel420 03-11-2002 08:36 PM

I bought a roll from him a while back and I did my entire trunk and rear panel and dash. it made a huge difference. I was happy as it was but now since there's a special i'll get it again and do my hood and doors... can't beat a quiet ride!!

i give this product :tup: if that's what you're waiting for then there you go.

my seal of approval !

OPGForce 03-11-2002 09:22 PM

not bad. sounds like a good deal. :)

slikor 03-12-2002 11:02 AM

to anyone who has ordered from this guy: how long does it usually take for the RAAM mat to come after you order it? and what kinda payment methods can you use?

mohawkboom 03-12-2002 12:18 PM

PayPal, Generally shipped within 2 days. takes 3-8 Business days to get to you.. Very Reliable...I Think he takes monbney orders too..why not Email him.. great guy.

slikor 03-12-2002 12:39 PM

sweet, i just emailed him for a quote for 3 rolls. thanks, mohawk:)

wing0 03-12-2002 12:47 PM

umm...this migh be a dumb question......how do you apply it??
or is there another topic that specifically talk about this?

mohawkboom 03-12-2002 01:20 PM

Wing..it's easy.. remove panels.. clean metal surface.. Peal off wax paper, stick to surface...

Daniel420 03-12-2002 03:18 PM

it takes regular UPS times... that's how he shipps it. he'll give oyu a tracking number and oyu can watch it get to your place.

the prefered payment is PayPal but i bet you can work other stuff out.

TommySI 03-12-2002 06:38 PM

Hello all.... I wrote, and this is the response.. I thought it to be pretty important. First Reply/Posting response for me. Here is the excerpt fromt eh email received.
" If you send me your zip code I will let you know the total shipped to your door. Please post that I do not recommend it for under the hood, I have so many orders and emails coming in right now I can barely keep up so this would help alot if you posted it for me as I am not a member of that forum.
I prefer Paypal but do require the customers to have a verified shipping address set up with them. If not money orders are fine, just let me know!
Thanks and have a great day,
Rick
RAAMaudio "

Take care all... Tommy :)

What I want to know is how much does this stuff weigh?

mohawkboom 03-13-2002 06:43 PM

.44lbs/ sq.ft ... Weight doesn't always eman better damping. It's a Bitumen based product and damps much better than Asphalt based deadeners of the same weight.. This stuff performs as well as Dynamat Extreme, Has a better adhesive.. more felxible.. easier to work with

Mbow 03-13-2002 07:40 PM

I was asking because I didn't want to be adding a lot of weight to my car. It's slow enough as it is. I wasn't talking about quality.

UncleB 03-14-2002 02:58 PM

I am going to get some of this. I hardly ever read the stickies at the top of the forums, but I just happened to catch this one. gonna e-mail him tonight. 2 rolls and I should be good to go.

Bartkat 03-15-2002 10:16 AM

Soi just email the guy and ask for the RAAM 60 deal?

Bartkat 03-15-2002 10:17 AM

<< Soi just email the guy and ask for the RAAM 60 deal? >>

Bartkat 03-15-2002 01:03 PM

slikor

Thanks. Hey you look like my missing twin.

slikor 03-15-2002 01:07 PM

heh, yeah you're right:) lol

im planning to order some of this stuff, but the only thing is that 3 rolls will cost like $50 to ship to me. im wondering if maybe i should stick with 2 rolls...if i only do 1 layer all around would that still be enough for my entire car with 2 rolls?

0100010 03-16-2002 12:08 AM

Great guy(Rick), great product, I've got 4 rolls(200sq ft) of RAAM Mat sitting here waiting for me to install it. Ordered it from him last November, through a similar promo on EliteCarAudio.com. You guys won't be dissappointed.

mohawkboom 03-16-2002 06:37 PM

2 rolls is enough.. if you only get 2 don't do the whole car in one layer. Do your trunk, 2 layers in the doors, 2 layers for the door skin. 2 layers on your firewall. Use whatervers left to do the rest of your floor. The Doors and Firewall are where 80% of your road noise come from.. your trunk well if you have a system it's pretty important on our cars because there's alot of flex in the sheetmetal.

Cheers

UncleB 03-18-2002 09:55 AM

is the firewall the place that seperates the engine from the inside of the car? the wall that is behind the dash and glove box and all that fun stuff? I've done a lot of systems, but I have never used sound deadening material before. should be a new adventure for me. I am ordering mine on Friday.

slikor 03-18-2002 01:46 PM

how the crap do you get the sound deadening material on the firewall?!

UncleB 03-18-2002 02:12 PM

I assume you pull up the carpet and stick it on. hehe. I'm pretty sure it would be quite difficult to get it in the spots behind the dash. I think they are mainly talking about the part where your feet go and up as far as you can go.

slikor 03-18-2002 02:21 PM

i thought they meant behind the dash and all that when they said the firewall....but the toe-panel(s) i can understand

i understand now. thanks UncleB

UncleB 03-19-2002 03:01 PM

no problem. I just hope I have it correct. hehe. :)

I just got my debit card activated so I am all set to order this stuff on Friday. I'm so excited.

trevor 03-20-2002 02:56 PM

Ive installed many systems,,,,never had to use this stuff w/ my VW's.........

Anyone have pics of the trunk or anything..........
Do you just stick the whole thing to the trunk,,,,,,,not like cut in little strips or anything????
sorry if it a dumb question,, just not familiar.
