trunk springs

i am trying to decide on 2 sets of 6x9, boston acoustics rm9 or the jl audio vr6x9,but the stupid trunks springs are screwing it all up. Has any one taken then out? if so how hard is the install on the gas shocks, and is there a diy on it?

I don't think its all that hard to install the shocks, but its definately not easy cause you have to be EXACT when you're doing it to avoid screweing up how your trunk opens/closes/aligns.
