1999 Civic LX auto CAI question

hey i got a 99 auto civic lx. and i was wondering if anyone has heard about the "APC intimidator intake", the only reason i ask is becasue its only 70 bucks and im kinda short on cash till i get my job. so will this supposed cold air intake make any improvement than the stock one i have. even if it just 1 to 2 HP ? also will it sound louder and more "throaty" than the stock intake. any input would help thanks
