Lightbulb Strips on roof of car

Just curious has anyone tried to dye or paint the black rubber strips that run from front to back on the roof? My Civic is all balck so it would look super rice but for those with aftermarket paint jobs it could look sweet...

Yea my father's '02 TL has them painted body color so I imagine it could be
done. Probably just need a paint with a lot of flex additive since it is rubber (i think)
But sicne the part doesnt really flex all that much it shouldnt be a problem if someone
really wanted to do it.
