ok i just got some 18 rims, do i need to inform the insurance company if i want coverage on them?

Not really, just keep some pictures of them and receipts .... if you want to tell them, they will likely increase your premium and may even put a surcharge on.... If they ever get stolen you have the pics and receipts to prove you had them

Pray they don't get stolen ..... lol... try to get a valid receipt (not hand written) cause thats the only way you can prove what their worth ...
