I have an 01 LX coupe and I have a OBX Type-R cat back exhaust which is for an EX. You need to convert your entire exhaust to an EX. You will need to replace the header/cat with the EX parts or with aftermarket. I have the HP Racing 4-1 header and a HKS Racing downpipe w/no cat. You are missing about 2 feet because the lx header and cat are all in one, on the ex the cat is after the header futher down the pipe. I attached a pic of the piece you are missing.

Man, just go to your local exhaust shop, have them cut your down pipe, and let them re-do it with bigger pipe to match your exhaust. I have an LX, Bought a GReddy Evo for an EX and it cost me a whoppin $35 to do the job! Everything fits perfect!

thats not the pice he's missing.
he's not missing anything really.
its just he got an exhaust for the ex.
the LX's mid pipe is longer.
thats not a HKS downpipe, thats a generic one. HKS doesn't make any for us. you probably got it from a seller that says its HKSA or whatever.
IMO if u really want to use that exhaust... go take it to a muffler shop for them to weld or flange the rest of the pipping for you... they'll have to either cut ur stock exhaust or make a pipe for you to fill up the distance...
did u buy one that says its for LX? if so complain to the seller.
usually the LX exhausts are more expensive than their EX counterparts (in the brand name ones anyway) cuz of the extra length in pipping.
