Is this ish gonna rust?

My man scraped one of his rims pretty bad on this retarded curb today. Damn thing jumped out in front of us. lol (Not really) Anyways....the rims are the gunmetal/polished look. You really can't tell that it got scratched if you look at it from a distance. The part that's messed up is on the rim of the wheel. It's scraped raw just about. If it rains, is rust a possibility? Also, is there a way to possibly fix this? We'll probably just end up buying another rim to replace this one. SUCKS! I told him I'd pay half since it was my idea to go to KFC. lol

Aluminum doesn't rust... its non-ferrous (no iron)... but it can corrode, which looks chalky white. Its a possibility, but you can prevent it by covering the scratch with clear coat. Just wipe it down with alcohol and apply it.
