Hi! I want to replace my scratched dash pad (shown on pic). I did some serach on the old postings for instruction; however, all of them seem very complicated. I am not sure whether the instruction is for the removal of the entire dash or the middle piece itself. Anyone who have this experience before -- please help!
Do u know if honda dealer will do such a job?
or
if there is any experienced buddy in So. Calif.....I am willing to pay u for this task...please leave a msg here and I will contact u

Most ppeople have taken off the center piece that goes around the radio. I would assume that the honda dealer would be able to replace it but they'll probably charge alot to do it. I would try a place that does custom interiors I think that would be your best bet. I believe members AK and Vnilman know of places around your area that may be able to help.

If you look at the screw-holes on the back of your new dash pad it will give you an idea of where the dash pad in your car is bolted on. As you have read in the previous post, I could not get the pad off without taking out the entire dash. Maybe you will have better luck with the replacement dash pad as a guide. Good Luck and take your time...

Well.......the piece can be order from the link provided by OmegaStauf.
The price is about $110. However, I dun think it is that easy to install since you probably have to take the ENTIRE dash board out (Including the one with the VIN plate).
I checked the price with Kreative interior (a well-known company in LA)....the labor for switching the entire dashboard (with the VIN plate) is about $250 for most japanese car (they said they need to take a look on my vic in order to quote me an exact price).....well...i think it is cheap. I think dealer and many interior company avoid to do this kinda replacement as it is very labor intensive thus they dun make much for it......
anyway, thx for the valuable comments and I think I will go for Kreative when i got CASH....haha

The dealer tried to rape me when I put a screwdriver size scratch into my dash..... They want like 700 bucks. I mean my god the peice is only 112!!
I am sorry to tell you that you have to remove the entire dash and the steering wheel, the 2 air bags, the center console, and.... hummm
the most difficult is 2 screws in tne center console, (You have to unscrew it by the inside) I fu*** hard to remove them and never replace it ...

jesus!!!!! looks like I am bringing to the bodyshop. Tampering with airbags isnt my thing, hopefully they are cheap compared to 700bucks. still for 700 bucks. I will take the time to do it myself.... Nothing can be to hard just take time?
also you dont need to remove the center console do you? I mean its just that dash peice? seriously, its like they dont even meet up. Also how long did it take you to do all this?

it take me about half of a day, the air bag are not that bad to remove.
I just unplug the yellow connections before thouching them and after I have to follow the reinitialisation in the DIY section. All the air vent tubing will follow when you remove the dash It's normal theay are srew on the dash if you have more question just ask me .

that picture of the board is mine, i replaced it. if youre experienced at taking stuff apart and putting it back together, its cake. the bag is easy as hell to remove, drop the glove box and look at the two bolts and push it up and out. I did it without removing the entire dash board like extremejm. look at my ride pictures.

I need to remove my dash pad only too! I called the Honda Body shop and they told me it would cost $150 to replace it! I can get the part brand new for about $40 to $50 from the dealer. So I can do it myself. The body shop told me that removing the dash pad can be done with out removing the whole daskboard. But they would not tell me how...
I looked at the service manual and it does not tell me.
