Any resolution to...
Us people getting bad gas mileage? This topic has been beaten to death but I never hear a resolution....
I just filled up and got 24.67 mpg. I went 296.2 miles on 12 gallons.
I have never got good gas mileage since the car was new and the dealer told me that its normal.
Has anyone figured this **** out?

mine's the same. i only have 3,200 miles on my car, but isn't that enough time to get it broken in? i get around 24 miles a gallon, but then again, i hardley EVER do any highway driving. still, that's pretty crappy. btw, i didn't drive hard for the break in period (i STILL don't drive hard). grrrrr, whyyyyyyyy so bad?!?!
Its kind of wierd because my mileage has gone up recently. I think by about 1 to 1 and a half more miles per gallon. I on average get like 33.5 to 35 miles per gallon now where i used to get a little less. I haven't really changed my driving style much, except now when i drive in the city i stay in 4th instead of 5th. That way my rpm's don't go below 2000 since the engine seems to struggle below 2000. But i still drive hard and shift after 3000rpms and do about 40/60 of city and freeway driving. When i am on the freeway I don't drive as fast as i used to, i keep it to 65 usually, so that may have something to do with it, although when i take road trips i do 80 and get about the same gas mileage, so who knows. I have a 2k2 ex coupe.
edit: oh and i have 19,800 miles on my car too.
