Flip-Flop trunk question....

Anyone know of a way to add in a little strut or something similar to open and close it without having to lock it.....

And I used the DIY to do the flip flop mod and thought there is one thing that needs to be added to it. In all the post on the flip flop mod i found that ppl were talking about a trunk leak. Simple way to get rid of the leak. Put the factory bottom bolt in on the bracket and tighten it until your trunk makes a tight seal....thats where your lock hole is suppose to be drilled.

You need something that compresses (shortens) when you open the trunk. A strut expands. Maybe A door closes from a Home Depot. Like the ones you see on screen doors.

If you got the bling, you could go with hydraulic trunk...my friend just did it. Since he seems to have so much $$, I'm gonna go rob his house later.
