To install the Injen CAI you have to cut a hole in the splash guard for the piping to fit. Well the other day i noticed that the plastic rubbed a groove into the intake pipe, I'm just going to cut a bigger hole but i'm worried about how that will effect the pipe movement. Anyone else have this problem??

I didn't even cut the splashguard. I got some Marine Foam insulation from Lowe's and wrapped the pipe in it... that way it didn't vibrate on the frame rail or the splash guard... no problems at all. Try getting some sort of rubber edging and put it on the edges of the splashguard cut out.
