i have heard from a few ppl that if you ihstall an aftermarket deck in a civic, even using a quality dash kit, you have to remove the lower pocket and it looks kinda lame, can i see otherwise please.

I just had a stereo put in today.

There is a kit available that will let you keep your lower dash pocket. It's garbage, and stereos won't flush-mount in it.

I originally bought the above kit, and once I saw the radio in it I returned it.

Losing the pocket cover is a small price to pay, but it looks better than a radio recessed 1/2".
