I've got the Alpine 9807 and I love it. It's got different colors, sliver/black, and it's got mostly the same features. Only it has the bass engine, rather than the bass engine plus like the 9811 does. The 9807 is cheaper too. Thats another plus. I guess it depends on personal taste.

I have the 9815 and it is cool and very powerful deck and also it matches my indiglos so yeah alpines are good head units

that same deck on ebay can be purchased new for $250....you'll get raped for buying from crutchfield......but off ebay you won't get the warranty so it'd be up to you....i actually saw that deck in a local shop for $260 and that was with free install special they were offering at the time.......

my friend has one in his car and he loves it. Nice features for a decent price.

i don't know, i guess i just think crutchfield is over priced.

Got the CDA-9811 installed today. The shop said that only 5 1/4" speakers would fit in the front....But they sound fine.

My complaint is that they put the back seat on crooked, and they cracked the top clips on the seat bolsters.....Anyone know how to fix it? It's not my problem, it's theirs...I was just curious how it's done.

Crutchfield isn't too bad. I got my 9807 for 260 from them. I found it for 230, without the one year warranty, but I thought the warranty is better than saving 30 bucks. Plus Crutchfield sends you the install bracket and the wiring harness as well. Thats over 30 bucks anywhere else. So the price turns out to be better at crutchfield. Six of one........
