I screwed up one of my rims today. My front leftie hit a curb. It now has a 3 inch scratch on it and a 3-5 millimeter chunk taken out of the tire. Can this peice of rubber that got scraped off mess with the integritiy of my tire??

should bring the tire to a tire shop like Discount Tires for inspection and see if the lip of the rim can be polished. Usually fixing a rim is more expensive than buying a new one.

I went to wash my car in an automatic car wash, and they have those metal bars that center you....

trust me i'll never do that again.. made 2 little (2 cm's) scratches... not bad tho...

i hope they all die tho

I just read the specs of the tire and I think I scuffed the "rim protector bar" but ill brinf it by my local tire shop just to be sure tomorrow.

I remember when I had the gold rims on WRX. my right rear wheel hit the curb and scraped the entire lip. This magic touch gave my gold rim a silver lip.

I was pulling into a parking space in front of my friends house early in the morning and I was real tired and I curbed my rims too. the lip is all chewed up. I was pissed.

I've got some minor scratches on my rims, you can't tell unless you really stare at the rim. One day when i was bitching about something on my car my dad told me. you can never have a perfect car to just get over it. It doesnt seem like i flip out as bad now when i scrape my kit since i took advice. If it makes you feel any better everybody has a scratched rim or dent somewhere on there car.

Ha ha, that's really funny considering my car has about 30 dents from a massive hail storm and the wheels are somewhat scraped thanks to good old man winter. But you don't see me stressin' cuz' the dents are covered and the wheels are fixable. With all the $$ I pour into my car, I just can't afford to stress it anymore. That's life kids.

haha, im just playing, dam, i barly scraped my dads rim the other day...

yea, its just a matter of paying attention, apparently i wasn't, i alway get distracted by stupid things, o well, just pay attention next time and remeber tires and rims arn't too cheap...

well thats why we have insurance, in case of **** happens, and it always happenes to me...

Just lightly scraped mine courtesy of the lovely Buffalo streets dept.....not noticable unless your crouched down infront of my rims and staring @ them....life sucks like that sometimes.....
