Vibration in Car when Clutch is Depressed

Hi guys...My girlfriend drives a 01 LX. When her clutch is fully depressed (and I mean fully) and at a full, or close to it, stop, there is a light vibration (shutter) throughout the front end of the car. The clutch also seems to be quite a bit firmer lately. She doesn't notice it but when I drive it I did. I've found that typically LX's clutchs are much lighter than my EX clutch.

Anyone else have this problem...her car has about 25k miles on it and she drives a manual fine soooo its not something I would pin on "not knowing how to drive a manual".

Thanks,
Matt

I have a similar question, sometimes when I go to pull into a parking space, when I push the clutch in to glide into the spot, My car starts shuttering like it's going to stall. It did stall yesterday. This is the only time it does this. I haven't had a problem any other time with is shuddering or stalling. Just when I am turning to pull into a parking spot. Any ideas?

The only time my "shudders" is if the clutch isn't all the way down. It has stalled randomly twice, but that's in the year ans a half I've had my car.

Our clutches are self-adjusting to my knowledge. I think they have been that way for quite some time now.

okay, i worked with my dealership to solve this problem, its the power steering pump thats defective, its putting a load on the belts and causing it to shudder, the pump has a bad seal on the inside causing it to not glide as its supposed to and you will most definately stall if your pulling into a spot.. You will also shudder if your car is really hot and if the pump is acting up.

I've lost power steering in her car before without the car stalling as well....this sounds like it could be it.

yup, it happened to me alot... I almost sued honda for it but decided it was to much work, and instead i got free oil changes and a new set of tires out of it since the stock firestones were absolute crap!
