Cracked Bumper (is our car made of paper)
I just discovered that the lower right side of my bumper is cracked. (about 3 inches)
It probabley came from me hitting a snow bank OR having the car slam into a pot hole. We have very deep potholes in Toronto.
I am pretty pissed at HOndas in general because they seem to be made of really crappy material. This is in comparison to the previous Toyota i had.
Does anyone know how I would fix this? I checked and the entire piece is the bumper and I don't want to replace the entire bumper.
Any special glue or anything?

Our bumpers are made of polyurethane.... simple THE BEST and most flexible.
It's not possible to crack it until you hit a curve really hard or slammed against the ground a few times.
I think all manufacturers use polyurethane...even your previous Toyota. It can be fixed with bondo and paint. Leave it to the body shop...

I don't mean to be rude, but this post reminds me of a similar one from the past.
Someone was complaining that honda uses cheap glass in their cars. Why? Because their windshield got chipped when a rock flew up and hit it as they were going down the road. LOL
Anyhow, honda uses thin sheet metal but the bumpers are fine. Sounds like you hit something pretty hard.

Once when I was on the freeway this car in front of me kicked up this big piece of junk into my lower front bumper. It hit HARD (@ 70mph). For sure I thought my bumper would be in pieces... all it had was a couple of scratches and part of the black lower lip came off the track that fastens it. Simple fix. I think it's pretty durable.
my insurance replaced the bumper, but it can be fixed. shops usually heat it to form then apply bondo etc. then primer&paint then its done. much faster than going to the dealer and insurance....
The bumper isnt meant to be a solid unbreakable piece of protection. As with any intelligently designed car it is meant to compress and dissapate the force of an impact throughout the entire car so your body doesnt have to take the brunt of it and continue forward with the full force. You could go for the rigid solid metal bumper of the 60's, and although unbreakble, I bet you the instant you hit a hard pothole or snowbank, your face will be good friends with the inside of your windshield.
