Dash trim kit problems?

Anyone had problems with the dash trim kits falling off? I got the metal look trim kit as a gift and the two vent trim pieces (middle one is fine) fall off after I put them on. The tape isn't sticky at all. I would just glue it or buy some 3M tape, but I figure I should just do it right. Think Honda would fix 'em?

Mine was the same way. I got some glue that wasn't a "super glue", but was kind of a super glue/rubber cement mix. It's a "multi-purpose" glue if I remember correctly. I wanted something that would hold tight, but not so tight that it would never come off should I decide to remove the kit. It's been working great ever since I installed it, I just put a little bit over the non-sticky OEM tape.

just make sure you guys clean the dash with alcohol or something (get all that armor-all or whatever off) so the kit will stick better

you definitly should clean w/ alcohol, and they make a 3m adhesive wipe that you put on before laying it down. the bad thing is once you put it down good luck!!!!

Use rubbing alcohol (atleast 2 application of it ie: wipe and then let dry two times). Follow that by a treatment of any kind of bonder that will allow your kit to adhere better to this "smooth" surface of the dash. I did all this prep on mine and its been so far so good.
