Whistle when Idle

Hey.... i have an '03 Civic and noticed a whistling noise when idle. It sounds like its comming from the tacometer but im not sure. i took it to the dealer and they said that it could be my power steering pump, nothing wrong with it i just want to know if anyone else has this happen
it could be an '03 thing because of the new gauges but who knows.

the noise is annoying though

heard the same noise before but only when im outside the car, i think its from the stock muffler.
another whistling sound came from the power steering pump when its turned in full. its a '01 though and many sounds come mostly from the plastic interior creaking

A whistling tachometer... I don't get it, does it whistle when you need to shift?

I know what your talking about, I think. I think mine comes from my intake but it only does it when my engine is cold. Once the engine warms up, sounds normal.

I have an 03 and mine has a whistle too, once my revs get above about 2500 i cant hear it anymore and you can't hear it outside the car, my honda dealer has already replaced the power steering pump and that did not fix the whistle.

I have a 03 civic also and it does the same thing, I hear it at idle but if I give it some gas it goes away. When I brought it for an oil change I had the dealer sit in the car and listen, he said he didnt hear anything wrong.
