Unhappy Someone hit my car!

Yeah... well it's not as bad as it sounds.
I let my sister take the car to the mall the other day (that was my first mistake right there) and when she came out, someone had left a note on the car saying they scratched the rear bumper and to call them.

So I go out and check the rear bumper, low and behold there is a long *** scratch about 2 - 2 1/2 feet long and inch thick all accross the middle of my rear bumper along with other mini scratches.

Anyone have any idea how much it would cost to get my bumper repainted? Or do you think the OEM rear lip kit would cover the scratch?

Get it repainted for around $200~300. If they guy's paying you cash, get a lip.

Getting it repainted will run $200-$300, From where you say its scratched I think even with the lip the scratch will still be visable.

Yo!!! Same thing happened to me the other day! I come out, and there's a gash on the rear passenger side. From the back corner to the edge of the wheelwell! I guess someone was parking front in, and grazed that part of my bumper!!! Yah, I got quote around $350-$400 plus tax to get the entire rear bumper repainted! F**K!!! Ppl can't drive!!! If it doesn't look too bad... just touch it up... then, later on... get it repainted. It won't rust... so, I'm in no hurry to get it fixed yet. Plus I'm worried about someone else hitting it in the parking lot! WTF, who hits a PARKED CAR?!?! DUMBASSES FOR REAL!!! Anywayz, had to vent...

Yeah, I just got back from the body shop to have the guy appraise the damage and he said I was looking at 325 + taxes. Hot damn that's a lot of money to paint the rear bumper.

Hey APRboy, let me know if you're painting your kit this week because maybe we can get a deal if we do all your **** plus my rear bumper too. I'm not paying for anything so maybe we can knock down some of the costs of painting your kit.

Well I just got back from Jones Auto Body and you'll never believe what they quoted me. Haha, are you ready for this??? Try $431.94
That's just for the friggin rear bumper! What the hell?
I told the guy that two of my buddies with the exact same coloured Civics were looking into getting their body kits painted and asked if we could get some sort of deal on it. The guy told me it would make no difference if we did it all together or seperatly. He then couldn't even quote me a price on painting a body kit because he said he'd have to see it first.

its not your p1 200.. this site is going slow on my machine p3 667 (which is by no means amazing.. but still)

its a question of the bandwidth i think... there is too much traffic.. not enough bandwidth

give him a few days to either have the traffic drop down.. or open up the pipes a little more
