Can someone tell me step by step how to get to the cig lighter, to atach my amp remote wire.. What clips/ panels do i take off to do this??
03 civic is differnent from the DIY for the 2k1 civic.

Can i just splice into the yellow wire to attach the remote one???

please help

My car is the 03 coupe. What i did was first u need to take the plastic piece around the shift **** off. Just try to stick ur fingers under from where the shift boot is and pull it up. It should pop right off but its goin to take a lil bit of pullin. Then there is two screws u goin to need to take off. Then just start to pop everythin off. Then i think u can start followin the DIY after u take off the two screws.

and yes you can use the yellow wire as your remote lead for the amp (i assume you mean the cigarette lighter one [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG] )

u can use any 12v source, u can even use the battery, but u want your amp to turn off when your car off, so a the the cig source wire would work cuz it only work when your car is on
