When i tried greasing mine, I ended up gettin 50,000 little pebbles in the threads, it was so bad i could not even ajust the car! So what i ended up doing is using almost a whole can of degreaser removing the grease, and went to HOME DEPOT to get a 5mm thick plastic washers (used for for plumbing), which measured 3 1/2"(round) and a hole in the middle that measured 2", so it fit PERFECTLY . I put it at the top, where the top of the spring and the body of the car make contact , now it prevents metal to metal contact. This solved all my problems! no more squeeks!
I had this problem in the front not the back though.
