o2 senor help ASAP!!

i am trying to hook up my autometer air fuel guage. which wire on the o2 sensor is the signal wire. there are 2 white wires, 1 gray and 1 black. did search, and nothing. thanks, wesley

if i am not mistaken its the gray wire.

Yes, I have to second that about it being the grey wire.

White (2 of them) = Power leads

Black = Ground

Grey = Variable signal wire.


Side note: This wire is very sensitive, it only runs a whopping 0v to 1v signal dependant on the amount of trace oxygen in your exhaust gasses. DO NOT cut this wire to tap into it. Use a t-splice or strip a small section of insulation and use a "rabbit ear" method to splice your lead into that wire.

I think you have it backwards!!! The BLACK is the signal wire, look at this diagram... its easy to figure it out....

black is signal
grey is ground
2 whites are for heater control. Don't post wrong information as you'll definitly screw up someones vehicle!!!

yeah, thanks. i was just getting on here to say that it isnt the grey wire. it the is black wire inbetweent he plug and o2 sensor. if you connect after the plug, it is the white wire.

why would honda make a grey wire a ground when black is univers for ground???
